IRC connection guide

Well, in my opinion more people need to visit IRC. So i made this guide in case s1 had problems with connecting IRC/finding us, etc.
First step, most obvious - we go to www.mirc.com and download mirc
Step1
Go to the downloads section and select download mirror. If you cant download form 1 of the mirrors, try another. You dont have to download from mirror named as your country :P

When you have downloaded file, install mirc. After the installation run mIRC. Shortcut should be on your desktop unless you deselected option "create desktop icon" of course ;)

You will have window about registration, if it bothers u see to what ill write on the bottom of my post.

Next options window will pop, DO NOT CLOSE IT! You have to give info about you:
Info ^^
Basically your name and email adress shows when you will be whoised - but about basic commands later - and generally you dont have to say the truth :P
Your nick is how other people will see you named, your alternative nick will be nick given to you if your first nick is already occupied.

Ok but were not over yet, you already put info about you but still dont know where to go. You need to select a server. Obviously select
"servers"
and then click "add". Now you have to type the info for the server with which you will connect.
So now new window popped, you have to fill it that way:
Deltaanime configuration
and click add.
Since our server's IRC channel is located on the deltaanime IRC-server you put the info above. Actually most important is filling "IRC Server", rest is for you so that you won't have problems searching for the server in the future. Password is not necessary since this server is not rotected by pass obviously.

Ok, so now were back on the "servers" screen, make sure that our server is selected and click"select" This will take us back HERE
Notice that now our window shows "Server: deltaanime: Deltaanime", so its great  B)  You can click "connect to server" finally.

New window pops (favorites)Channel list
type in talonro
and click join but the upper button, not the lower one!
Theres also another way, preferred by me - command join. You can close that list and simply type command "/join talonro" or "/join #talonro" like
that
What now? Well...
You are finally here!
 Gratz :)

Another important thing - registering your nick. Its quite important, since some channels are only for reg. nicks, and you just make ur nick quite unique :P So you have to type command "/nickserv REGISTER <hereIsUrPass> <hereIsUrMail>", but dont type "" and <> - <> means that whats inside you have to replace with proper info.
Like here
Of course do NOT type pass as "mypass" cause some1 can easilly guess it:P

NS is a short of nickserv, if you dont know. Just everytime when you will connect to this server youll have to type /ns id <pass>. Unless you'll do perform, but ill add that later.
ADDED PERFORM:
Well, what is perform - if you type some command everytime you connect, if you type that in the perform you'll have that command initiatet everytime you connect to that server.
So here we go - select options, here click on the button perform, there you should make sure that "enable perform on connect" is checked, and if you didnt check this - it is NOT. So till this step your window should look like that:
Perform
Now you have to select which network will be affected by perform - of course we take deltaanime. So click "add" button, find deltaanime [or if u named that network the other way, find that name] Now just type in the perform commands 2 most important commands - /ns id <yourpassword> and /j #talonro
Your window should look like that:
Filled perform

Well, thats it, ill change this guide abit later, have to edit pics, point out whats important in pics and make their size smaller. Hope this will be useful for someone.

APPENDIX:
Commands. Most useful are:
/nick <newnick> - do i need to elaborate?
/query <nick> - PM someone ;p
/join #channel - joins channel, # is not important, just for irc people # sign means channel
/server xxx - changes server to xxx
/server -m xxx -j aaa - connect to server xxx WITHOUT disconnecting with actual 1 (thats what -m does) and join #aaa on server xxx
/whois nick - display simple info about person with that nick
/kick - kicks person out of the channel you won't taste on talonro channel the power anyway :P But if u have ur own...
/ns id <pass> - u already know that
/part - leave channel [same as clicking x in the window's corner]
/quit msg - disconnect from the server and leave the message "msg"

Warning - do NOT close mirc without disconnecting from the server!

Well, everytime you run mIRC you have info about registering. Its quite cheap from what ive heard but you dont have to register it actuall. After these 30 days your mIRC will still work, just you will have to wait few secs to be able to click on the "continue" button

Well i guess thats all of the major issues. Did i miss something?

It took me a grand total of like 10 minutes to search for an IRC client, download it, and use it's help feature to figure out how to connect to the IRC channel. So while this guide is nice, it's really not overly necessary. BUT! It will raise awareness about our IRC channel, and hopefully increase activity in it as well. So for those reasons, I vote for sticky!
