  • What to not suggest

We've been getting a lot of people suggesting the same things over and over again. Amongst these are a couple of suggestions that just will not happen on the server.

Item recoveries, Change of rates, 3rd Classes, Change of skills, Autoloot & Area Pickup, GTB and Maya Purple Card changes

Any new topics regarding these subjects will be closed.

Clock Card effect (Auto Guard Lv3) disappears when switching armor.

    How to reproduce:

    - Get hit with armor[clock]
    - Achieve use of Auto Guard lv3
    - switch armor[clock] to any other armor
    - ???

    - effect is lost. /gg

it just makes no sense, since the piece of armor that the skills is affecting, THE SHIELD, is still on place.
    Talon, pls fix.

Well yes, if you switch the gear that has the card then you will lose the effect. Why is this in suggestions even?

So, is that *indeed* the intended way for this card to behave?
And also, may i ask you to move this thread to the bugtracker section of the forum?

The problem, opposed to Maya Card, is that keeping the armor on with the card makes no sense because it being autocasted will cancel the buff on the second procc, that really just defies the existance of the card.

You get the card because you get hit, to receive a damage reduction, but now with every other hit your damage reduction just gets canceled cause the second activation will do just that, then again on a third activation you will get the buff again and so on.

So, what needs to be done is a version of the skill for the card that just refreshes duration instead of autocast disabling the buff?

    Wonder if that's possible.

That's exactly what it does, yes. And?

If you can't switch out the carded armor, to prevent it from turning off its own buff, its useless.

When this card was introduced, you where able to swap out the armor and not lose the buff, that was the official intended behaviour at that time.

The only reason it changed is because renewal clients decided to remove most lingering skills once their source is removed, and the reason why it doesn't matter in a renewal context is simply its enormous power creep and the tons of new, better items that are released like candy is thrown at carnival.

It blocks every second attack. I wouldn't call that useless.

The client does not remove anything, this is all handled server side.

Actually it doesn't block every second attack.  Looed up the skill and auto guard only have a CHANCE to block an attack.  it has a 14% chance to block the second attack before disabling itself at level 3.  That said and a 3% chance to trigger or turn off.  Honestly those numbers just get weird.
