  2. With bg just released and fairly active, I figured now would be a good time to release some guides on some fun vanilla builds I enjoy playing there. If there is any interest in this guide, I'll continue making more. This build is something that works for me but might not work well for somebody else. I hope this helps players find ideas that work for them. (I'm still in the process of formatting this but I don't want to lose what I have so far so this may be a bit incomplete). Stats 99 base DEX- more dex more ranged damage and attack speed. Snipers use various buffs and different items that change your dex throughout the game so I don't really attempt to hit a perfect breakpoint of 10's since there will be times when you are higher or lower. 99 base AGI- more agi more aspd. Auto attacks, double strafing, and sharpshooting are all reliant on attack speed so the more the better. Gemini-s58 card also grants 30% stun resist as long as your base agi is equal to or greater than 90. Tidung, gemini-s58 carded midgear(Agility), gemini-s58 carded deviruchi headphones, and a deviruchi pet put you at 90% to 95% stun resist (depending on whether your pet is loyal or not) and pets dont lose any intimacy when you die in BG so it is one of the best times to use them. 25 base LUK- additional crit for when you sharpshoot. Gear Upper Headgear Body Armor Weapons Accessories Playstyle Sniper is a class that basically requires the use of battlemode in pvp to play the class to its fullest Try to put as much distance is you can between yourself and your enemy. Snipers DS range is screen wide so make sure to take advantage of this because the class is extremely squishy up close. Double strafe when you are trying to kill an enemy without a clown on your team Sharpshoot when you are trying to kill enemies and you have a clown supporting you Arrow shower with a status bow when enemies are grouped up under pneuma. Sharpshoot spreads status too but requires you to get much closer Ankle snare around you to prevent enemies from closing in on you. Spring trap when you are dealing with an enemy sniper's traps unless there are no enemies nearby. Spring trap destroys traps from a distance so it is safer than remove trap which is melee range. Remove trap is better for removing traps you personally placed since it gives you back 1 trap. Traps Ankle Snare and Sandman are the traps you should be using in BG. Any class without int as a primary stat is prone to sleep and ankle snares are useful all around. Use level 3 Ankle snare if you want the traps you place down to remain in place for a longer duration. Ankle snare level 5 has a longer root after activation but the trap won't remain on the ground as long (prior to activation) so you will need to replace them more often. WoE modes such as Rush or Conquest are good modes to use level 3 traps so that you are less likely to need to go replace traps before enemies enter the emp room or the area you are defending. PvP modes such as Team Deathmatch or Triple Inferno are good modes to use level 5 snares so that whoever you trap is rooted for longer. Sleeps traps are good for dealing with low int enemies. You can place a sleep trap on the ground and walk over it to sleep enemies near you without affecting your character Arrows Silver/Holy arrows are the primary type you want to use when damaging enemies. These do bonus damage to any enemy wearing Evil Druid and they also bypass most usual garment cards ( the 20% neutral reduction from raydric or the 10% neutral reduction from noxious). Holy element isn't reduced by Valk shield either. Status arrows proc even if the enemy is under pneuma so you can use this to proc status' that you would normally immediately break enemies out of if you hit them again (sleep/stonecurse/frozen). Status' do stack so you can have an enemy stunned, cursed, and silenced all at the same time. Stun arrows are the most effective arrows against targets that don't run vit since many players prefer to run damage boosting or demi reducing headgear. Curse arrows are good to use against low vit enemies since it is one of the status' that BG green pots cannot cure. The Valorous Battle Crossbow has a 5% chance to curse enemies so you can wield this bow with a different type of status arrow for better effect. Mute arrows are good to use againt low vit enemies as well but remember that everybody is given at least 10 BG green potions so you will constantly have to reapply this status. Sleep arrows are great when attacking an enemy under pneuma or using arrow shower to spread status. Using sleep arrow when double strafing or auto attacking is a bad idea because you are likely to knock the enemy out of the status before you even recognize that they have been status'd. Earth arrows are good in combination with an Earthen bow for the stone curse effect. Treat stone curse similar to the sleep status
  3. Hi, my name is Adit and i'm a returning player. Mainly for trans WoE Vanilla scene. Despite our guild is small (Ignite) I'm happy that we still attract new people to WoE (Indonesian in this case). This got me thinking, I'm sure there are still some PVM players that haven't try WoE ever and when they ask something, they don't get answer that they wanted regarding class/ budget/ or role because it might be confusing (FE vs SE, Vanilla vs Unress). So, if you're new to trans woe vanilla but already a PVM player I'm sure that you have at least on of these classes: HP - Creator - HW - Sniper. The key thing is if you're just starting out, play support. Don't dream to be the one that will be the hero by breaking the emperium last minute and see your name on the screen or become the godly dd creator that will 2-3 shots high vit character within 1 secs (bragi: on). Just... Support. Once you get the hang of it you won't read this guide anymore, so let's get started: Gears: Top : Beret or Feather Beret = 50k-2m Mid : None or Mid[1] with Nightmare Card= 0-7m Lower : Whatever you have = 0 Body : Universal armor with Marc Card or Evil druid Card = 5-7m Weap : None = 0 Shield : Universal shield with Horn Card or Thara Frog Card = 1.5-7m Garment : Wool Scarf with Noxious Card = 7-9m Shoes : Tidal Shoes with Green Ferus = 4-6m Accessories : None or 2pcs Glove [0] or Glove [1] with Zerom Card = 0-10m (wasn't sure about glove zerom price atm I put 5m ea) Whatever you can put really. Total = 17.6m - 48m There you have it. I think this can be a bare minimum to join a trans woe vanilla. With a minimum of 17.6m investment you can have the gears that can be shared among those classes that I mentioned (HP - Creator - HW - Sniper). Bought the gears, how about the build? You'll aim to have: 99 base Dex (not including the bonus) 97 total Vit rest to Agi What do I do, you ask? HP : Follow your team around, give them Bless and Inc. Agi, especially Bless, because your team's front liners might be dispelled 24/7. For extra reduction, can also use Long Mace (~2m). Creator : SPP. You'll be the main healer. Press Slim Potion Pitcher like there's no tomorrow, your guild leader will love you. FS HW : Ganbantein. To be honest, HW isn't my strong suit, I never have one so I'm not 100%, but I guess your role will be Ganbantein the 1 vit classes (usually front liners) and do occasional Storm Gust. Sniper : You need to buy something more for this, Earthen Bow (~500k) & Plankton Card (optional ~5m) and equip stone arrow and arrow shower like there's no tomorrow and don't forget to detect hiding enemies. You'll be causing damage, sleep and stone curse to the enemy stack. Whenever you're not in your group, equip your shield and hide the bow. What about consumables? Yes, this is indeed important. Generally you'll need to buy whatever Foods that can increase your stats for 20 mins like Green Salad for Dex + 5. You will need about 500 Piece of Cake or Strawberry minimum, depending on your class. If you're SPP Creator? Bring 500-1k CWP minimum. Depending on your game play and how active you are that amount might change. Is that it? Pretty much, yeah!! Not so hard, eh? I hope this post will encourage new people that want to do trans vanilla WoE but afraid or shy to ask question. For guild leaders, if you have new player(s) and they're really new at WoE, please don't discourage them, maybe you can direct them to this post and they'll learn something and we can have the WoE scene we always dreamed for Did I miss anything? Please comment below
  4. As the title suggests, I'm building a crusader purely for WoE purposes, as I already have a paladin and it's great fun. I have no experience in either regular or vanilla woe with a paladin, but I would like to understand how the lower amount of skill points affects the job, what else is there to do besides devotion soaking, how to survive a gunslinger? Gear? Main set, whether it's battleground-farmable (I have Faith we'll get those again) Any weird switch gears i have to have including weapons, accessories. If the knowledge you offer is about paladins, it's fine, I'll figure out what the next best non-trans version of the gear is. What skill builds are viable for woe? Defender/riding: y/n? How can I deviate from this: Sword Mastery Level 10 Increase Recuperative Power Level 10 Bash Level 5 Provoke Level 10 Magnum Break Level 4 Endure Level 10 Moving HP Recovery Level 1 Quest Skill Fatal Blow Level 1 Quest Skill Auto Berserk Level 1 Quest Skill Faith Level 10 Auto Guard Level 10 Shield Charge Level 5 Shield Boomerang Level 3 Reflect Shield Level 5 Holy Cross Level 6 Grand Cross Level 4 Devotion Level 5 Defender Level 1 Shrink Level 1 Quest Skill How should i balance my stats- is str important at all? 97 vit? Am i a backup healer? Leveling is a non-issue And uh. Is it fun?
  5. Hi guys! This will be a relatively short/quick guide that I cooked up just because since the release of BG there have been so many questions about tanking more and stunning less, so I thought I'd give a rundown on one of my favorite vanilla headgear cards! That said, Gemini-S58 is pretty much only useful in vanilla mode so that's what the guide will focus on. Introduction This is a very good headgear card for a lot of classes, but it gets skipped over and forgotten about quite frequently. Aptly named, it has two effects, and you will always need two (one on upper, one on mid) for it to be effective. Let's take a look at it! Gemini-S58 Card - ID #4354 [Base Agility >= 90] Add a 30% resistance against Silence and Stun. [Base Vitality >= 80] Add a 50% resistance against Stone Curse and Sleep. Unfortunately this card isn't for every class, but I'll touch on that more at the end of this guide! Recommened Upper Headgears Since ditching the Beret, you have tons of options for the Gemini card based on what you like best for your build! This is a small list of what I recommend - of course I encourage you to do your own research and see what works for you. Black Shiba Hat [1] - % Demi-Human damage Bone Hat [1] - MDEF, % Demi-Human damage, and % Demi-Human reduction Deviruchi Headphones [1] - % Stun resistance Drooping Domovoi [1] - MDEF, % HP, and % Demi-Human reduction Jasper Crest [1] - DEX/VIT - mostly for DLP Professor in WoE Lyria Doll Hat [1] - flat HP and % Demi-Human damage (description is wrong) Sorin Doll Hat [1] - DEX and % Demi-Human reduction Next, I'll break the card down in two parts so we can see the different classes and builds it is effective on. Anti-Stun [Base Agility >= 90] Add a 30% resistance against Silence and Stun. This part is awesome because now you can run around with 100% immunity while not being Biochemist food! Since running two Gemini-S58 cards only gives you 60% Stun resistance, you'll need to get the other 40% from somewhere else. The classes below all get an extra 50% Stun resistance from Valkyrja's Armor, taking you over 100% immunity. I'll help by breaking down the classes that get the most use out of the anti-stun portion of the card. Damage Paladin Shield Chain, Pressure, Sacrifice, etc. are all builds that use AGI for maximum DPS. The rest of your points can be spent in DEX and STR as you see necessary. Pally HP is insane, so even without VIT you'll end up around ~13k HP. Lord Knight ASPD is a staple for many LK skills - getting 90 base should be a breeze. Swordsman HP modifier is very high, so you should still end up with at least 12k HP. Whitesmith Again, AGI is a main stat - no brainer here. No VIT frees you up for more STR and DEX. Assassin Cross Same as above. Partial Anti-Stun Again, since you'll only get 60% resist from wearing two cards, you won't be 100% immune on these classes. However, you can get as high as 85% - 95% depending on your class. You'll need Deviruchi Headphones, Tidung, and a Deviruchi Pet (loyal pet only necessary if Archer class). It's not ideal, and I don't really 100% recommend this to anyone, but it can be a great gear swap if you find yourself stunning a lot in the middle of a BG match, for instance. Gypsy Running Arrow Vulcan/Slow Grace build with DEX/AGI can take up a lot of stats, and being able to achieve 95% Stun resistance with 1 VIT is pretty good. Damage Sniper Again, running damage on Sniper can eat up a lot of stats so running 1 VIT can help you allocate them a bit better. Sniper can also get 95% resistance, but you end up sacrificing Sniping Suit for it. Gunslinger Same as above for the most part. GS can wear all the appropriate gear needed and get a maximum of 90% Stun resist. Anti-Stone [Base Vitality >= 80] Add a 50% resistance against Stone Curse and Sleep. This is the main reason this is my favorite card - it frees up any 97 VIT class to use Marc instead of Evil Druid, therefore reducing Meteor Storm damage in WoE and Fire Bolt damage in PvP/BG. Since two of these cards will grant you 100% immunity to Stone, there is no need for supplemental armors/cards. This is mostly a WoE setup with some PvP/BG usage, so the classes below will assume 97 total VIT for Stun immunity. Defensive LP Professor Devotion Paladin Gypsy/Clown Gypsy can make use of either part of this card, depending on the build they run. Status/Trap Sniper SPP Biochemist Full Support High Wizard High Priest Soul Linker Classes That Can't Use Gemini Going back to what I mentioned earlier - not all classes can wear dual Gemini headgears. Because they don't build AGI or VIT, classes below unfortunately need to rely on other gear (or choose to go without) to achieve 100% Stun and Stone immunity. I won't go into builds for these classes since that's not what this guide is about, but I'll add general gear for classes that have hard gear requirements (mostly for WoE). Magic Stalker Deviruchi Headphones, Valkyrja's Armor, 2x Stalactic Golem Cards Damage Professor Damage High Wizard Deviruchi Headphones, Tidung, Loyal Deviruchi Pet, Flame Skull Card, 2x Stalactic Golem Cards AD Biochemist Deviruchi Headphones, Valkyrja's Armor, 2x Stalactic Golem Cards Magic Ninja Champion Most do not run any Stun immunity gear, just some VIT instead. Ending Notes Some classes I admittedly don't play (Ninja, Taekwon, Super Novice, non-magic Stalker) so I might not have much info on them. I'd love to include them, I just need to be better informed about builds and gear. I recommend always carrying around multiple headgears and armor swaps because in PvP and BG, you never know what's going to happen! Often you'll be able to swap Gemini for more damage or tankiness. As with most guides, this is not the set in stone way to play. In the end, it's all up to your personal preference! Maybe better formatting to come in the future.
